It’s been a while…

Sorry I’ve been ignoring this blog for a while now!

I’ve been doing really good, the morning sickness seems to last all day now, but I’m pretty used to it. I had my first doctor visit yesterday and everything is perfect! They did an Ultra Sound and let me see the heart beat! Wow! That was simply amazing! Hopefully when I go back on Aug. 27th they can see the babies sex, but I will be able to hear the heart beat this time, I was only a week away from hearing it this time.

Spinning Again

I’ve managed to collect some energy and spin up a few yarns! I ordered two batts from FeltStudioUK.etsy, amazing stuff to spin!

Still Alive

I’m still alive and breathing! I’ve been just hanging out and relaxing. The morning sickness isn’t so bad anymore, only when I’m super tired it gets bad. The tiredness has been going away slowly, I’ve been taking my time getting ready for work in the morning now, been showing up like 1-2 hours late, oh well! Things have been going good, I’m about 6 weeks and I’ll be 7 weeks by Friday!

Back From Cali

I got back from San Diego on Monday, but have been way to tired to post anything… or do anything at all! We went to Seaworld on Saturday and checked out a local yarn shop on Sunday. Very cute, but they didn’t have wooden sock needles!!! I needed to grab another pair, the ones I were using were falling apart row after row. Ahhhh! But I finished the socks… I wore them to work yesterday! So comfy! I’m just about to finished the 1st sock to a new pair. Only like 5 rounds away from being done, you’d think I’d just pick up the socks and finish the damn things, haha, thats how tired I am.

This morning I work up to being on 2 new treasuries! They were both made by some of the girls on EcoEtsy! I forgot I even had yarn and stuff on my shop, I’ve been very lazy lately on updating. I need to make some more batts and mail out some batts for a trade I did. Tonight I’ll do it! I swear!

Sock Monkey Time

Yay! I just got my Funky Monkey Kit from Blue Moon Fiber Arts! It comes with 2 hanks of Socks That Rock heavyweight yarn! The colors are amazing… Top: Mr. Green Jeans / Bottom: Lemongrass.

My shop has been starting to pick back up a bit! I’ve made 4 sales so far this week… (which is a bunch compared to nothing lately) Today we say goodbye to my Manatee Handspun yarn and Imagine Monsters Scarf.

So Torn…

Now that I know this shop could become a reality very soon, I’m getting nervous. Part of me is super excited and wants to jump right in, but the other part of me is saying I’ll be to exhausted working full time at my job and part time at the new store for a while… *sigh* I don’t know what to do…

Scouting A Location

For some time now, I’ve been wanting to open a yarn shop. I’ve recently got together with my friend Tressa (President of Phoenix Craft Mafia) about this idea. Last night we drove around Roosevelt Row and the First Fridays area to scout out some possible locations for this yarn shop. We fell in love with this one shop on 7th street, right next to Anti-Space! It needs some work, but it would be a fun project. We’re tossing ideas back and forth with this and think we might sell yarn on consignment with other spinners. Something a little defferent, that the yarn shops out here don’t do.
